ANSY DEROSE, IMMORTAL… (ANSY DEROSE, IMMORTEL…) Continued

Without any pause, exceptional and talented artists succeeded to each other on stage to sing or dance to Ansy’s songs after having briefly presented themselves through a recording broadcast on giant screens. Alternately, the artists from abroad or living in Haiti performed two songs: one composed by Ansy and another from their repertoire. The public enjoyed the performance of Beethova Obas (“Chacun pour Soi” and “Si”), Emeline Michel (“Haiti, Mélodie d’Amour” and “Nonm Sa”), Jean-René Delsoin Dance Company (“Toi, le Musicien”), Nicky Chris (“Manvi al Lakay mwen”), Janjan Roosevelt (“Roses Noires” and “Agoye”), Régine Montrosier Trouillot Dance Company (“Hymne à l’Amour”), Mika Benjamin (“Fanm peyi m” and “Si m te gen zèl”), Bélo (“Kouray” and “Bon Dye”), Sébastien Pierre and Alexandra Louis in an interpretation of "Thank You" (Merci), a classic which had consecrated the fame of the duo Yole and Ansy. The projection on a large screen of Jeanguy Saintus explaining that Ayikodans Company had unfortunately to travel, allowed this group of dancers to participate in this tribute. Yole Dérose, the creator of this show, has succeeded the incredible: to put together all these artists on the same stage, united by Ansy’s memory to whom they all paid a rather unusual tribute by their performance that captivated the audience.

Still without transition, or stopping, in a perfect synchronization, while Clarens Renois, one of our most beautiful voices, ended a short text on children, forty students from JRD  School of Dance marched on stage in darkness, holding a lighted candle in their hand, while the voice of Ansy singing "Children of Haiti" (Les Enfants d’Haiti) accompanied them. Touching, and emotional moment; this was one of the highlights of the evening.

“The Folkloric Ballet of Haiti” (Les Ballets Folkloriques d’Haiti) of Nicole Lumarque has managed to dazzle the audience by dancing to the song "Tezen" which had been interpreted by Ansy for this ballet with the same title. The applause gradually dried up when the assistance discovered the final installment of the evening, the runway show “Woman” (Femme) presented, with, in the background, Ansy’s song which carries that name; it was a real parade and a riot of colors which gave the excited public the opportunity to enjoy the creations of renowned designers such as Michel Chataigne,Janite Hector, Maëlle David, Madeline Ledan, Félicia Dell, Sheyla Doré, Miko Guillaume, Harry Lafond, Murielle Leconte, Gaelle Nérette, Maikadou.

On a sublime love poem of Ansy Dérose "I Salute You and I Love You, My Lady" (Je Vous salue et je Vous aime, Madame) said by the charming voice of Réginald Lubin, while the drums were sounding, the Trilogy of Goddesses appeared, represented by the Sun Woman (Ranya Dérose), Moon Woman (Fritzlaine Thézan ) and the sumptuously dressed Goddess of Love incarnated by Yole herself.

Suddenly, the loud and powerful voice of Ansy started singing the last verse of "Tezen" and all the artists of the evening gathered on stage for a final tribute to Ansy Dérose, a true national treasure, while the starry sky was streaked by multicolored fireworks.

A gala evening of enchanting beauty and incredible richness that we have not finished talking about and that everyone dreams to see again and again...
