In the night of December 10, 2011, I am half asleep… I wonder what time it can be. Oh, well… Who cares? Time is not important… I am still under the charm of last night’s dreamlike spectacle “Haiti Heart of a Woman” (Haiti Cœur de Femme). I find myself in a vaporous atmosphere, in a marvelous world where colored movements, songs, veils, Woman-flowers, poetry, sparks, beats of drum, chorus of feminine voices, Sun, lights, sumptuous decorations are blended as one. A perfect world where all is Harmony, Balance, Love, where all hearts beat together and celebrate the rebirth of Ayiti, our Mother… And I remember…
In the evening of December 10, 2011, the Cosmos was celebrating: surrounded by a multitude of bright stars, the Full Moon even made a friendly wink to the Earth by gratifying her of an eclipse. In the presence of an select assistance, the show “Haiti Cœur de Femme” began shortly after 8 h p.m. at the “Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre”, Port-au-Prince, with the welcoming words of Clarens Renois, MC of the event, followed by the projection of a documentary illustrating the birth process of this latest creation of Yole Dérose, after more than two years of gestation. To reveal to the public the identity of the eleven Woman-flowers who compose the project, he was joined on stage by Yole Dérose, with a raucous voice because of the beginning of a cold, but so pleasant, sumptuously dressed and more tantalizing than ever.
