HAITI HEART OF A WOMAN (HAITI COEUR DE FEMME) (continued)

A spotlight was on a silhouette dressed in red, of frail and fragile appearance, who almost timidly settled at the keyboard: the Japanese Yayoi Ikawa, a pearl, a true virtuoso of the piano, who quickly changed as the notes were shelled in the interpretation of “Requiem for Peace”, composition in remembering the loss of a dear one during the tsunami which recently struck her country. She was joined by Emeline Michel, our incredible Emeline whose performance matched perfection. During about thirty minutes, the assistance enjoyed, sang and danced with delights Emeline‘s hits “Latibonit O”, “L’Odeur de ma Terre”, “Pòs Machan”…  Our celebrity dedicated to Yole Dérose her latest Christmas song. Emeline and Yayoi, by their complicity  on stage, demonstrated to the audience that geographical borders are only pure illusion, human invention.

After a breathtaking choreography carried out by the Dancers of CO Jean-René Delsoin on an interpretation of Jephté Guillaume, “Ibo Lele”, the Woman-flowers returned to sing “Rasamble” of Beethova Obas, and vigorously continued with “Nou gen Fòs” of Martha Jean-Claude followed by “Haiti Mwen Renmwn W” of Lionel Benjamin.

The assistance was cheering when the Chorus demanded the rebirth of a new Haiti with “Nou Vle” composition of Ansy Dérose whose lyrics are surprisingly up to date. Yole and Clarens, surrounded by Emeline, Yayoi and all the Artists returned on the podium for the thanks of use and announced the evening closure with an original and particularly joyful interpretation, a remix in chorus of Emeline Michel’s “Banm la Jwa”, while a multitude of sparks flooded the stage.
