After the last farewell to the scene of the notorious couple “Yole and Ansy Dérose” and the events which followed, Yole, unbeatable, while giving her full support to Ranya, her only daughter very affected by the loss of her father, has decided to return to the artistic and cultural world by creating Yole Dérose Productions.
Yole believes in Art as an ideal support to train, educate, and re-establish memory in a country as badly devastated as hers.
She started her Premiere in Tara’s on November 27th, 1999 and launched Yole Dérose Productions by presenting her first super-production “In The Name of Atlantis” in those terms:
… “I remember a certain evening, when Ansy and myself had put into flames our first stage costumes, in front of a numerous, enthusiastic but unhappy assistance. It happened a December 20th… This act would symbolize our last farewell to our public. However, I want to make it clear that at that time, I did not burn down neither my heart or my soul, nor the music, and much less my innate sense of beauty, dream, sublime and ineffable”...
Colossal success… Audacious and sumptuous creation where she distillates in her texts her deep maturity and spirituality.
Besides her other activities, she pursues her artistic productions and creates “Woman” (Femme), and more recently “Haiti, Land of Fire” (Haiti, Terre de feu), a very successful play whose most recent presentation was on December 30th, 2006 at the Champ de Mars, Port-au-Prince, in front of an electrified assistance. She received a standing ovation when she took the microphone and interpreted the hit “Song for Haiti” (Chanson pour Haiti), a moment hoped for so long by all her fans.
She also coordinated some artistic activities presented at the “Sugar Cane Historical Park” (Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre) by the Francoise-Canez Auguste Foundation in Haiti.
She marked the year 2007 by her presence as a jury member in Digicel Stars for the launching of this radio televised show in Haiti; and she was back again as a judge in March 2008.
On May 17th, 2008, at the “Sugar Cane Historical Park” (Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre), she offered to the public the projection of the DVD of her successful play “Haiti, Land of fire” (Haiti, Terre de feu) on big screens, at the occasion of the celebration of the Haitian flag. The DVD had been edited a few weeks earlier.
At the Museum of the “Sugar Cane Historical Park” (Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre), on November 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2008, Yole organized an exposition of Ansy’s paintings and published a book dedicated to his life and artistic work, ten years after his death.
On November 29th, 2008, at the “Sugar Cane Historical Park” (Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre), she presented the album «Ansy Dérose, Immortal…» with 4 cds and more than 65 successful songs. She realized a spectacular gala event where Haitian Musicians, Singers, Dancers, Choreographers, Stylists… were brought together on stage to celebrate the exceptional multi-talented Artist represented by Ansy Dérose. Extremely rare event, in Haiti: this spectacle rich in colors and talents was completely sold out and every space of the park had been invested by a crowd avid to honor Ansy’s memory and eager to attend a spectacle of Yole Dérose Productions, whose logo is incontestably synonymous of excellence.
The reputation and popularity owned by Yole Dérose go beyond the borders of Haiti. On December 13th, 2008 she was invited to the second edition of "Art and Culture”, a cultural evening organized in Florida at BCC North Campus Auditorium during which our Artist had been praised in these terms: "When the singer Emeline Michel introduced us to Yole Dérose of Yole Dérose Productions, we were confronted with a meticulous woman, very professional and sensitive to details when it comes to artistic production. Her last major production "Haiti, Land of Fire" has just fascinated us... On November 29th, 2008, she hosted a wonderful show in tribute to Ansy Dérose. It is quite a pleasure to work with a woman who has so much respect for quality and a job well done”. Yole had acted as the Master of Ceremonies on that Gala Evening. |
